I feel like there is an unspoken rule that says you can’t photograph your own pet. Not sure why, it just seems like cheating for finding a subject. I guess that means I have cheated on most of the pictures I end up happy with.

I had trouble falling asleep last night, on the couch, staring at the clock on the cablebox. All I could do was think about things that scare me. Not terrifying things, just worrysome things, like paper deadlines, writing in ink, or waiting for bad news on the phone. The kind of things that loom, that feel heavy, make you tired.

Just got back from the Greenbelt Metro station, and there are already cars lining up to come in and park. They will not be allowed in until 3:20 or something like that. The trains were crowded with people coming from balls and such, all talking about Barry
